Adopt a RecoveryWorks Respite Room. Your Contribution Could Save a Life
|
At RecoveryWorks, our mission is to provide access to respite, rehousing, and recovery for our unhoused neighbors. We know recovery is a challenging process that takes many forms. To support our guests, we offer housing navigation, and case management and provide comprehensive and integrated acute medical respite care for those with few or no resources.
Our ten medical respite rooms provide critical care and support for individuals who are homeless and in need of medical attention. By adopting a room, you’ll be helping to provide a warm, safe, clean, and welcoming environment where our guests can recover and receive the care they need. Consider adopting a medical respite room through RecoveryWorks and help furnish a safe and comfortable space for those in need.
Adopting a room isn’t just about providing basic necessities like a bed or a dresser. It’s about creating a space that feels like home – a place where our guests can feel safe and supported during difficult times. That’s why we encourage our supporters to get creative with their room decorations, adding personal touches like artwork, books, or even low-maintenance plants.
Please contact Molly Hanson, RecoveryWorks Development Director, to learn about Adopt a Respite Room by calling 720-643-2721 or clicking the button below.

Meet Tobi as he shares his story and how his experience at RecoveryWorks helped him navigate his journey.
“I have never been homeless before. Being homeless is a new experience to me. I had been married for thirteen years. I ended up doing drugs and my marriage ended. Then, I started having heart problems. I rely on many different drugs to keep myself alive. For a time, I didn’t have access to my life-saving drugs. This was when I became homeless. I didn’t care about myself. And I didn’t care that I was homeless. Thankfully, a friend made me go to Lutheran Hospital to get treatment. Lutheran Hospital connected me to RecoveryWorks. Now I care.
RecoveryWorks has helped me with everything and in every way. Each staff person treats me like a very special person. They show me such respect. They will bend over backward for me and the other guests. They make me feel needed and wanted. They know helping and working is very important to me. I have been a worker my whole life. So, they let me help out all the time. I worked with Rich on the community garden box and I loved it. I have been here for a while now and it has made all the difference. I have applied for and gotten a job at Walmart. I have reconnected with my son. In fact, we plan to move in together. Being at RecoveryWorks has made all the difference. It has changed my life. I have friends and connections now. RecoveryWorks has brought me back to life.”
Thank you to Tobi for sharing his story with us. We are honored to provide resources for recovery, housing, and employment to our neighbors here in JeffCo and beyond.
Support our mission, and our guests like Tobi, by making a donation today.
