Bright Spots & Updates from RecoveryWorks
RecoveryWorks is thriving thanks to new support from Kaiser Permanente, Colorado Gives Foundation, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, and a new medical respite contract with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Littleton. This funding helps grow our medical respite program, expand job supports for guests, and help cover move-in costs for those moving into housing.
Expanding Addiction Recovery Services Set to launch by year’s end, All Roads Recovery will bring on-site addiction treatment, peer-led groups, and a full range of recovery supports to our newly renovated community room. The first group, led by Advocates for Recovery peer coaches, begins in late October.
Rehousing Success
Year-to-date, our amazing housing team moved 70 guests into stable housing—that’s the equivalent of two city buses of your neighbors who now have a place to rest, cook a meal and start over— all because of a community that believes recovery begins with a home! Each move-in represents weeks of paperwork, landlord calls, and small victories. Thanks to our many housing partners, including City of Lakewood and Colorado Division of Housing.
Planning for the Future Last, we’ve launched a strategic planning process to chart RecoveryWorks’ next chapter, with input from staff, board members, community partners, and people who have been homeless. We’ll be sure to share out with you once its completed by year’s end!
Together, we’re building stronger pathways to recovery—one guest, one partnership, one milestone at a time.

Red Vests, Big Impact: Lowe’s Volunteers Transform RecoveryWorks’ Community Room
On September 29, 19 red vest associates from the North Lakewood Lowe’s store rolled up their sleeves to renovate RecoveryWorks’ Mountain View Flats as part of the national Lowe’s Hometowns initiative. The team painted a new community room, installed cabinetry and fixtures, and refreshed outdoor spaces—turning a former storage area into a welcoming hub for recovery-focused groups and community connection.
RecoveryWorks was selected as one of 100 Lowe’s Hometowns projects nationwide, part of Lowe’s commitment to deliver 10 million square feet of impact in 2025. We’re grateful to Lowe’s for helping us create a space that fosters healing, dignity, and belonging for our unhoused neighbors. Before and after photos

Sonny moved to Jefferson County in 2003 and built a stable, secure life. He earned an associate degree in medical lab technology, getting married, and raising two children. Mark Your Calendars: Colorado Gives Day!
RecoveryWorks is excited to launch our Keys to Hope campaign for Colorado Gives Day 2025 on Tuesday, December 9. Early giving opens November 1 and runs through December 9.
Every key we hand to a guest is more than access to a door — it’s access to stability, safety, and a new beginning. Your gift this Colorado Gives Day helps us turn more keys for neighbors moving from homelessness to housing and recovery. Together, we’re unlocking dignity, opportunity, and hope — one key at a time.
We’ll share more soon, but don’t miss the chance to be part of Colorado’s biggest day of giving. Every gift counts — and missing this window means missing a powerful opportunity to support RecoveryWorks’ mission.
